  • Register your pig farm with MSME Department and get a certificate.
  • Get a fitness certificate of the place where you would stall a farm, from the Deputy Director of Health Services of the district health department through Panchayat authority.
  • Get a certificate from the Animal Husbandry department to prove the health of pigs.
  • Get a NOC from the limit of Fire Station.
  • Get a NOC from the limit of Pollution Control Board.
  • Apply to the concerned limit of Town/Village Panchayat Office for getting a license by enclosing all the aforesaid certificates under rule 4 of Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Licensing of Pigs and Destruction of Unlicensed or Infected Pigs) Rules 1996.

The Executive Authority of the Panchayat will issue the Licence Badge on payment of license fees not exceeding Rs.5/pig for the half year and it shall be renewed within fifteen days from the commencement of every succeeding half year. The badge shall be fixed to any one of the ear of the pig for the purpose of inspection and verification.
